America's Business To Customers is a longtime partner of SoftSlate's, going back almost 20 years. In 2022, USAB2C management decided to migrate their ecommerce website, USAB2C.com, to the SoftSlate Cloud Platform after using the legacy SoftSlate Commerce application for many years.

SoftSlate, in close collaboration with the USAB2C Team, migrated the data, files, and other elements of the legacy application, to ensure that no product, customer, or historical order data was lost in the transition. In addition, SoftSlate ported a number of customizations from the legacy system, into the new platform. America's Business To Customers now leverages numerous features of the platform, including integration with Google Merchant Center and improvements to product catalog presentation and management. The result? In addition, USAB2C enjoys the enhanced stability and realiability of the new platform, along with its ever-growing list of new features.

Among the SoftSlate Cloud Platform features America's Business To Customers uses are:

  • A robust and flexible search engine allows USAB2C.com customers to search for and find the American made products quickly and easily

  • Among the internal search engine's features are auto-suggestions as search terms are typed, and filtering by various categories after searching (faceted search)

Suppliers and Drop Shipping Support

  • Each product may be associated with in-house inventories, or a supplier, and each external supplier can be designated as a "drop shipper".

  • Behind the scenes, the system divides every order up into multiple shipments, one for each drop shipper with items in the order.

  • Multiple items shipped by a single supplier can have shipping cost mitigated by a set of USAB2C predefined, rules-based discount settings.
  • Real-time shipping calculations with UPS and USPS take the drop shipper's locations into account as the point of origin for the shipments in each order

  • Sales tax processing also takes into account the origin location of the shipment, and supplier directed tax collection requirements.
