How To Connect With FedEx

 

  1. Log into your FedEx account. Then establish a FedEx Developer account starting here: https://developer.fedex.com/api/en-us/home.html

  2. Within the developer account, go to My Projects:

  3. On the next screen, click Create an API project:

  4. When it asks "Tell Us About You API Needs", select the option, "Ships with FedEx and is using a third-party software solution that has requested API keys":

  5. On the next screen enter "SoftSlate Cloud Platform" as the name of the third-party solution:

  6. On the bottom of the screen select Rates and Transit Times API:

  7. On the next screen, select your country and click Next:

  8. On the next screen, confirm the details and click Create:

  9. The next screen should be the API Project Overview. Click over to the Production Key tab:

  10. Follow the steps to create the production key. Record the Production API Key and API Secret Key that is generated for you.

  11. Visit the FedEx Settings screen under Settings -> FedEx Settings:

  1. Enter the following settings and Save Changes:

  • FedEx API Key - Live = The API Key from FedEx

  • FedEx API Secret Key - Live = The API SecretKey from FedEx

  • FedEx Account Number - Live = Your FedEx Account Number

  • FedEx Environment = Select Live

    Note: If desired you can use FedEx's Sandbox environment instead, with FedEx's Developer API keys, but the tracking information will not be useful.
