Nexus Property Management® commissioned SoftSlate to replace a legacy application that was written using MS Excel. The new version of the application, which allows Nexus employees to create and update invoices for their clients, now lives on the SoftSlate Cloud Platform. In the process of developing the web version of this application, SoftSlate developed a custom integration with Nexus's own backend database system, where invoicing and employee data is stored. This includes a custom login process for Nexus employees. The custom integration allows SCP to communicate in real time with Nexus's database.

With the invoicing tool now available online via a browser, employees are able to use it either on a desktop, or on mobile devices in the field. New employees are no longer required to install MS Excel, and they are no longer required to install updates of the legacy Excel application, saving tons of time and hassle.

Nexus continues to leverage the SoftSlate Cloud Platform and SoftSlate's development services for additional features that interact with their backend system, including management reports and synchronizing data. Nexus and SoftSlate are also in the process of creating a web version of Nexus's internal tool to generate and track quotes for its customers.
