SoftSlate Cloud Platform Improvements, 6/10/24

Our recent development has been all about content! We have added new features and rounded out our documentation on the site-building tools in SCP. From scratch the tools allow you to create a dynamic, flexible website with content important to you and your visitors.

Content Pages and Reusable Content Blocks
 - Create any number of website pages and organize them in a hierarchy for easy navigation. - Optionally link each of them in your site's global header and/or footer.
 - In the administrator, enter in any HTML for the content, or use the rich text editor to help you format the pages.
 - Special support for FAQs, testimonials and other specific kinds of pages.
 - Leverage reusable Content Blocks so you don't need to maintain common pieces of content across multiple pages.
 - Include content blocks with a simple placeholder syntax, in any content page, product description, category description, form, or even nested within another content block.

Categories and the Category Tree
 - Organize products into a hierarchy of categories to make it easy for your customers to browse for and find what they are looking for.
 - Each category has its own page on the site where you can list subcategories and/or products.
 - The category pages also organize the products under it using facets, as described in our Search Features document.
 - The category tree is automatically generated and linked under the main site header ("Browse" link). With just a couple clicks, customers can review all the categories in the site and drill down to find the products they are looking for.

Products
 - Create your business's online catalog by adding products to your site. Each product gets its own page on the site.
 - Add descriptions, images, and other elements such as Specifications and Q & A.
 - Products are also of course the basis of SCP's ecommerce features, including accepting online orders, discounting, inventory tracking, and much more.

Dynamic Forms
 - You can also create any number of customizable dynamic forms to collect information from customers and other public users of the site.
 - Each form optionally gets its own public-facing page.
 - A typical use case is a general "Contact Us" form, but many other kinds of forms are possible, including applications, surveys, etc.
