SoftSlate Cloud Platform provides a full set of robust ecommerce features allowing you to sell your products and services to your customers. At the center of the customer experience is the notion of the shopping cart. We have recently documented some of the key features related to carts:

 

Shipping Packages
SCP offers a rich set of features to describe the packages that orders and order items are shipped in. These features will help you retrieve accurate shipping rates for orders, and enable rich integrations with shipping processors such as UPS, USPS and FedEx.

  • Admins may define shipping weights and dimensions at various levels including for each product, attribute, option, and product variant
  • A simple approach is to "stack" the items in each order according to these weights and dimensions
  • For more complicated scenarios, SCP allows admins to create Package Defintions, which may be associated with products and product variants

Receiver Tool
The receiver tool is useful for processing incoming rental units in bulk, which can save tons of time. The receiver tool allows employees to:

  • Identify incoming units by scanning tracking numbers or barcode, or manually entering unit codes
  • Mark matching order items' statuses in bulk, which can trigger other processing
  • Mark matching orders' statuses in bulk, which can also trigger additional processing
  • Produce a notification when unexpected units are entered into the tool

Other Recent Improvements

  • Option to sync an order to QBO when the remaining balance for the order hits 0
  • Better breadcrumbing support after a record is added or edited in the administrator
  • Ability to create a new Authorization/Hold in Authorize.net for an order, in the administrator
  • Google Analytics purchase events transmitted as orders are placed
  • Revamped Receiver Dashboard includes Payment and Accounting sections
  • Ability to create and send/assign messages from notifications in the administrator, to test templates
  • Ability to generate email attachments from the administrator, to test templates
  • Product setting of type TAB allows admins to create any number of tabs of content on the product details pages
