SoftSlate Cloud Platform Improvements, 3/10/23

Happy to announce more recent updates to the SoftSlate Cloud Platform covering the last several weeks.

 
1. UPS Integration for both Tracking and Rating:
We've completed a deep integration with the UPS API for both tracking shipments, and querying shipping rates in real-time. For full details please follow these links:
 
2. Customer Interface Default Templates
 - We have revamped and upgraded the default templates used for the Customer Interface. By default the templates now run on the Bootstrap 5 CSS/JS framework, an upgrade from Bootstrap 3. (This change does not affect existing sites in production.)
 - Many more announcements related to the Customer Interface to come!
 
3. Infrastructure Upgrades
 - We've made tweaks to the web server configs to maximize memory usage for faster responses overall
 - Added protections against web server crashes due to disk space issues
 - The hosting environment continues to be very solid, with less than 15 minutes of downtime over the past 9 months
 
4. QuickBooks Online Time Activities and Jira WorkLogs
 - We developed an integration that can synchronize Time Activities from QuickBooks Online, and push the same activities to Jira as WorkLogs.
